A beginning course provides an introduction to engineering and technical drawings through the use of sketching, computer-aided drafting (CAD) and dimensioning. Techniques covered included geometric construction, orthographic projection, pictorial methods, section and auxiliary views, basic descriptive geometry, 2D CAD, and 3D CAD parametric solid modeling. College Credits earned.
An advanced course design to lead students into the fields of engineering. One major competition the class participates is the Jet Propulsion Laboratories 2010 Invention Challenge.

Program Experiences
Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems. Since my freshman year of highschool, I had been using this program till now by learning the different performances myself. I am able to use Adobe Photoshop to edit and create my own unique website image materials.
Adobe Dreamweaver software empowers designers and developers to build standards-based websites with confidence. I started to learn the basic fundamentals of web-designing during sophomore year and continue to build my interests. As my skills of using Dreamweaver increases, I began to serve as a web-designer for my part-time career during highschool.
ArchiCAD is an architectural BIM CAD software for Macintosh and Windows developed by the Hungarian company Graphisoft. The newest version (2010) is ArchiCAD 14. ArchiCAD offers specialized solutions for handling all common aspects of aesthetics and engineering during the whole design process of the built environment — buildings, interiors urban areas, etc. ArchiCAD is a complete design suite with 2D and 3D drafting, visualization and other functions for architects, designers and planners.
The CAD Academy allows students to explore career paths through real-world projects, while establishing a solid understanding of science, engineering, architecture, technology, and mathematics. One of the program in the Cad Academy is the A+ Cad, which provides trainings on how to draw the front, right, and top face of any object.
SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical CAD (computer-aided design) program which is currently used by over 3.4 million engineers and designers at more than 100,000 companies worldwide.
SketchUp is a 3D modeling program designed for architectural, civil, and mechanical engineers as well as filmmakers, game developers, and related professions. It also includes features to facilitate the placement of models in Google Earth. It is designed to be easier to use than other 3D CAD programs.
